Observation details
I saw this bird quickly fly over the bridge as I first passed shortly after 0800. This bird looked to be a Cliff/Cave off the bat, and prompted me to pull over. It was the only non-Barn present for the first good 20 or 30 minutes. Sometimes the bird would seem to disappear after passing under the bridge, of which I assume means it landed or perched at various points. I observed the bird alongside Barns and a bit later with two Cliffs. I kept second guessing myself that I wasn't seeing any white on the forehead until the Cliffs appeared. It was obvious this bird was different, if only subtlely, during the time I had all three species. The two Cliffs associated with each other closely, but this bird seemed to generally do its own thing. Short, stocky swallow with squared off tail. Over and over I would try to pick out the white forehead to confirm as a Cliff, but never saw anything but a darker red. Throat color seemed to be varied depending on light but in one hardly usable photo, the reddish color of the throat looks light and extends up the neck noticeably. Will review and update later. All three species would pass close by, sometimes only a short distance away under and overhead. I'm assuming Caribbean subsp., but I don't have the experience nor photos to be certain.
