The first bird heard singing is a House Finch. The Yellow-throated Warbler song, which overlaps with the end of the House Finch song and is slightly higher in pitch, begins about 2.5 seconds into the recording. A second Yellow-throated Warbler song occurs at about 22 seconds into the recording, again overlapping with the end of a House Finch song. Also audible: California Quail, wind noise.
Observation details
Continuing adult male. Singing in the eucalyptus canopy up the hillside west of the campground, 100 yards south of the entrance kiosk.
