Media notes
You’ll probably have to turn it up to hear the distant Chuck over the Whip. Also in recording is Eastern Whip-poor-will, I think a Woodcock, and frogs.
Observation details
Heard (attach iPhone recording). Calling near lakeside entrance of Pine Tree Trail. Was interior from between the entrance to just west of that point. Photo showing about where I estimated the bird to be located based on what I was hearing as I walked along the road. Heard just before 10pmish. I didn’t hear the bird when I made my first pass by that spot around ~9:15pm, but I was also contending with much more traffic noise then too. Recording made used iPhone 6 and Voice Record Pro app. Also in recording is Eastern Whip-poor-will, I think a “peent” from a Woodcock, and so. many. frogs.
