Observation details
The bad cell phone images below are the best of the lot from 7 feet above the bird in the shadowy underworld under my feeder with my shooting through glass. This thrush clearly did not have a rusty tail; it was more grayish and contrasted with the gray-brown back. The second time I saw it, I was at eye-level and the bird did not have buffy spectacles, or hardly any facial markings except a thin eye ring. What's a Catharus sp. lacking both a rusty tail and spectacles? In my wildest dreams, it's a Gray-cheeked Thrush.
