Observation details
Somewhat distant, grainy, but distinctive photos obtained. Smallish loon with slight upturned bill, associating with WEGRs which were of comparable size or a bit larger. In alternate plumage with red throat, which unfortunately was not easy to resolve in the photos in gray overcast morning light, but was visible in my eyes through the scope. White underparts occasionally revealed when bird listed or preened.
