Observation details
First observation at 0555. 2 counted on property. 2 individual(s) singing. Additional breeding codes: T C. 2 seen doing courtship flights at the beginning of the survey (1 visually identified as a male, the other presumed male due to behavior). Lots of high flight, with both singing, 1 farther to the east and the other ca over reach 3; then observed dives with wing clapping. Singing ended by 0607; saw the westernmost bird perched on a fencepost along the N boundary of the sewage lagoon area. No females definitively seen, though saw a large raptorial bird perched in an alder E of reach 4 that might have been another owl. Presumably females may be around, now that males are doing courtship flights? Detections (number 15-minute intervals in which the species was detected): 2 on property. 2 beyond property.
