Media notes
From 121st Ave looking south. Showing the apparent lack of a belly band, the faint streaking on the sides and a white throat. The bird's primaries are shorter than the tail, which end before the dead gulls primaries.
Observation details
Saw this bird in the low spot where some of the Ring-billed Gulls had been see this morning. It flew a short distance to the west carrying the gull with it after I had stopped along Calumet Ave. I had never actually seen a red-tailed Hawk with a gull before, or even attempt to catch one. The hawk was rather light headed and without and apparent belly band and with aprominent dark malar and white throat. Looking somewhat like a Fuertes.
