Observation details

At about 9:15 a,m, a beautiful pair (photo) was seen perched on a twig above the road (just after the sun broke through the morning fog) about mid-way between the UC Field Station and Christy Ranch. When these birds first came into view, my first reaction (because of how they looked from my point-of-view below them) was "bee-eaters!" (like I've seen in Australia). A few other Barn Swallows were seen and heard in flight in the vicinity of Christy Ranch.
