NOTES: A.M. NIGRESCENS. 1 ADULT(S); Sex: UNKNOWN BNA: Primary Song is heard. CZ 01/06/2004. [Twenty-six examples of Primary Song, as described in BNA account. There are two different song-types here, and possibly some slight variation on each. Between 2:33 and 2:53 the bird switched from the more complex song given in the beginning to a simpler song given at the end of the recording. Both songs are similar to ones in LNS #15060, but neither are quite the same. Other recordings having songs similar to the second type here are in LNS #15062, 15063, 15065, and 15069. I believe the calls heard early on in this recording (e.g., 0:31-0:40) are those of Geothlypis trichas and the series at 1:02-1:05 and again at 1:31-1:35 were given by a frog. Quality unchanged (2 - but just barely due to insect noise throughout) - CAM - 17 March 2005]. Habitat: Wetland, Marine, Salt Marsh.
