I'm assuming these are all first winter males not quite fulling into their adult breeding plumage. There were 5 of them here staying together as a group. This was the best picture I got and shows 4 of them
Observation details
There were here five here together and seemed to stay together as a group, all what I think were first winter males. They all had a fair amount of brown streaked plumage on their backs still. I got a pretty decent picture of four of them together. They were all actively foraging around for seed on the ground. Separately, at a different time, the male Red-winged I call "Whitey" was here at the feeder, as usual, and I got a picture of him also.
