Observation details
When I first showed up to the ponds, I was going to the back pond at Home Depot and noticed 3 large white birds in the front pond (2 MUSW and 1 unknown in the back corner by the little road between 24 and 40). The one continuing bird was at first behind he Home Depot but flew over the building to the front pond. When I pulled up to the front pond there were 4 swans: 2 TRUS and 2 MUSW. The MUSW immediately began racing over to the TRUS when I got there and chased them all around the pond four or five times until they had enough. Both TRUS then took off and flew back to the back ponds at the Home Depot. Both were calling as they flew over. **Behavior Note** The first time the MUSW flushed the TRUS it only flushed one. When the Trumpeter landed then, it landed directly next to the other TRUS and immediately fluffed up, brushed necks, and created a little heart with their necks and had their bills touching at one point. This makes me think theyre a potential breeding pair whether they continue north or stick around the area that's the question. One swan was a little larger but they had the same overall profile and big bulky bill and long head. Awesome to watch.
