Observation details
Ph’d grey (juv.?), with bars on throat and upper part of the belley. Feeding behaviour: landing on floating plants in the river, then moving underneath the plants and appearing (like Dippers or Grebes) on another location on the floating plants, often with a caterpillar looking insect. Hunting seemed very succesfull and easy. Nearby were two male adults.
