Observation details
The Backside Marshes of the DLF Apartments in Kakkanad are drying up due to the blistering heat in the area. When the water levels drop hidden fish and frogs have no where to go but stay as sitting ducks for birds. Little Egrets and Intermediate Egrets are using this opportunity very well and 2 elusive Woolly Necked Storks also joined the party. The amazing thing is that they are unaware that they are foraging in the centre of apartment buildings which has more than 1500 apartments in total is quite stunning for me. The birds flew off when I came close for 2 times and I did not get a single click later at the third look they gave me these clicks. There is 1 adult and 1 immature.
