Observation details
My first impression in the field was Swainson's Thrush, owing to the buffy wash on the breast. Upon looking at the photos at home, the tail definitely doesn't seem red enough for a Hermit, which is the common Catharus this time of year. It doesn't have noticeable, buffy spectacles like other Swainson's I've seen, however, so I am open to someone convincing me of a different ID.
