Observation details
Adult of the "Rocky Mountains" Race due to the very white center of the mantle and prominent thin white line extending from just above the back of the eye on to the top of the nape at the hind crown area. It had a small rectangular yellow patch on the forecrown area indicating that it was a male. Observed it stripping bark off of the blue spruce tree to get to prey items. Quite interesting to watch.
