Observation details
This is a teal with blue inner-wing coverts and a white strip between the blue and the dark secondaries. It has features that are hard to ID this bird to species or possibly hybrid. The white wing strip indicates it is likely a male. The dark, smudgy, underside; including the cheek/face/throat area are the color of the gray brown mud where it is foraging.
