Media notes
An immature Golden Eagle at my house in Akransaw, WV (Hardy County) on 16 February 2019.
Observation details
Saw two distinct birds, about a half an hour apart. The first was an immature Golden Eagle with a black and white tail (white base, wide black terminal band, and a distinct white spot at the base of its primaries. The second was an adult, showing an all dark tail, no white in wings, flight feathers slightly lighter than wing linings. Both birds showed golden napes and gold on the leading edge of their wings. I photographed both birds. I saw another adult Golden Eagle in the early afternoon, but I am only counting 2 since I can't exclude the possibility on a double count on the adults.
