Observation details
Found earlier by Kelli. Very bright bird with bright chestnut cap, broad yellow supercilium, brown cheek patch, yellow breast with blurry red-brown flank streaking. The vent was yellow, but I had trouble seeing the belly well. It appeared to be yellowish, but it could also have been more gray toward the center. The back was a comparatively dull brownish, and the legs appeared to be dark. The bird pumped its tail constantly while feeding on the ground. This bird appeared to me to have too much yellow on the underparts to be of the western subspecies.
