NOTES: Cover density: THICK; Weather: WIND; FANTAILS ARE GENERALLY HEARD GIVING THEIR BRIEF 'ZEET ZEET' FLIGHT CALL. BUT AT THIS TIME, THEY ARE BEGINNING TO BE ABOUT NESTING, AND THE COMMON FLIGHT CALL DEVELOPS INTO A HIGH-FREQUENCY BUZZY LITTLE SONG. THIS ONE WAS RECORDED ON A FOREST TRAIL IN HEAVY SECOND GROWTH. BIRD WAS SQUEAKED BUT GAVE LITTLE RESPONSE. R.F. PLACABILIS. 1.5KHZ HIGH PASSFILTER USED IN COPYING. RECORDED 0735-0800 HOURS. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Second-growth.
