NOTES: Much of this recording recorded simultaneously by Matt Medler (see LNS 137673). The first segment of this recording contains primarily calls of one or both members of the pair in flight, soaring over the temple. Near the end of the first segment (at 2:10 of the overall recording), one individual gives a two-noted call and then flies in and audibly lands on the temple or temple scaffolding. The second segment of the recording (beginning at 2:36 of the entire recording) is a very lengthy segment (18:17). The first 8:40 of this segment contains numerous single-noted "chirps" from the perched male. The next 5:20 contains little or no vocal activity. The remaining 4:20 of the second segment contains a variety of calls from both the male and female, including "long calls" by both birds, more "chirps" from the male, and a distinctive vocalization (20:22 of the entire recording) given during an in-flight prey exchange from male to female. The third segment of the recording (beginning at 20:55 of the recording) is an announcement describing the earlier segments. The fourth segment of the recording (beginning at 24:15) begins with a possibly truncated "long call," followed by silence, and then soft wing sounds near the end of the segment. The fifth segment (beginning at 25:07) contains off-mic "long calls" (of the female?) and later, two series of "chirps" given by the male while perched. Same subject(s) as LNS 137673.
