Observation details
Continuing. I first observed a bird about 2:50pm from the back, low in the trees on the east side of the path, across from the cedar tree 3 doors north of the original observers home. I observed the kaki coloured back and defined transition to a bluish collar. The bird flew north shortly after viewing. I wasn’t sure but called the other two birders to look but not refound to the east. Then Bruce Di Labio Spotted the bird happily sitting in the copper topped feeder next door to the original yard at about 2:59pm. Myself Bruce D. and Tim were then able to get narrow views and photos through the metal railings in front of the feeder until about 3:05 pm when the bird flew north next door to the cedar tree. We departed a this time.
