Observation details
1 singing. First detection at 0957, when I heard a "de-de-de-de" call from willows in the E part of the sewage lagoon area. At 1024, heard a BCCH call along the stream E of reach 4. Sometime between 1106 and 1117, observed 2 BCCH moving downstream through the riparian shrubs near the ATSP in the vicinity of the photo point. Through 1143, I continued to see or heard 2 BCCH and a bare minimum of 8 ATSP in shrubs and near the creek in the vicinity of the photo point. Saw a BCCH forage by sallying twice. Also observed chickadees branch-gleaning. At 1256 near the turnaround, heard a BCCH call and then a few song renditions; saw 2 fly upstream past me, from shrub to shrub. At 1330, about 100 m above the diversion, a single BCCH flew from an Alnus incana to another shrub upstream, making gargle calls. Almost certainly a third individual.
