Media notes
THREE harriers are visible in this photo (though poorly).
Observation details
Including 2 *beyond property boundary*. All brownish individuals; the individual seen better was an immature. At 1012 it flew south over the sewage lagoon area, low, probably hunting. At 1052, a brown NOHA seen in low powered flight over the grassy hills N of the stream, reach 4, then farther N. Between 1350 and 1353, 3 NOHA (all brownish - immatures?) seen coursing together low over the grassy hill just E of Head Ln in strong W wind! At 1403, 1 NOHA (apparent immature) seen in low hunting flight to the NW over the field in reach 4. Continued to hunt over reach 4, over grassland and stream, through 1407. From 1410 to 1413, I observed and videoed the other 2 NOHA in intense hunting and competition low over the grassy hill E of Head Ln. Both apparently picked up a small mammal in their talons at some point during this time. Both were still hunting there at the survey end.
