Observation details
Found by Pete yesterday. Hanging out in three crabapple trees in front of Benchmark Senior Living. Easily seen from the South St. sidewalk. But photos were tough from there because of intervening branches. Spoke with Stephen Fletcher of the facility who said folks were welcome to come on the property for better views from the parking lot as long as they checked in at the front desk. I looked for the bird yesterday late afternoon without success. There were many CEWA and AMRO in the same trees which were filled with lots of fruit. After 30 minutes of watching the bird today, it took off northeast on its own, not with other birds. Single red tip on secondaries plus diffuse black throat border makes this a young female (thanks TLE).
