Observation details
Area of open water on Milford Pond, viewed from boat ramp. Group of swans, one somewhat to the side by itself. Noticed more upright neck posture and dark bill. All dark bill, top of bill border coming to point, with a straight-ish edge on side (to separate from Tundra.) Also size was about same as Mute Swans, right size for Trumpeter. See photos with Mute Swans for relative size. Later was joined by Joe Bourget, Mark Lynch, and Sheila Carroll. Bird viewed from close range; gave good views side and front, also spent much time upturned feeding. At times had a few close encounters with Mute Swans, some flapping and skittering on both sides. Later came out on ice. Thank you Ed, Justin, and Bob for your help.
