Observation details
From Vineyard Way near the bridge, for a few minutes, we could hear the repeated ascending "zu-wee" call, and found the bird perched in a tree in the riparian area about 30 feet away. Providing nice comparison, a Ruby-crowned Kinglet was in the same tree. The vireo was a pale drab olive above, and pale below. White supraloral, and broken white eye ring. The bill was thicker than the nearby kinglet. Two white wing bards, and did not have the black bar on the wing as did the kinglet. The bird went silent and flew south along the riparian.
