Observation details
**Very rare, long-staying bird, widely regarded as a pure Gray-crowned. However, I believe there is strong evidence of it being a hybrid. Most compelling are the relatively slim bill, and the olive (not gray) crown contrasting strongly with gray mask, looking like a ghost of Common Yellowthroat’s mask. Also, relatively rounded (not peaked) crown, less graduated tail, and intermediate song.
