Media notes
Subtitle: Morning Chorus. A morning chorus recording made in native New Zealand forest. The three most prominent voices belong to Kokako (Callaeas cinerea), Tui (Prosthemadera novaeseelandiae), and New Zealand Bellbird (Anthornis melanura), all native New Zealand forest species. Playback was used to elicit a response from the Kokako (a banded pair named Wurrie and Wissel), but the vocalizations from the other species were all natural. This is the exact same recording as ML 136146. Habitat: Forest.
