Observation details
Just as I was pulling in to the Alessandro lot I saw a large pale bird flying over the hills. First thought it might be a Ferruginous, but then noticed it looked like an owl, and probably a Barn Owl. Took a few quick photos through the window on the very off chance it could have been a Short-eared (one can dream). It dropped down into the base of the hills where it stayed despite a Raven taking a few swoops at it, and a Red-tailed circled above it once or twice. Was still there when I returned two hours later.
