Media notes
Subtitle: Mixed Species Colony. NOTES: Recorded using a Telinga Pro5B in flat along the edge of Paurotis Pond. I pointed the microphone out towards a rookery/roost in mangroves. This was recorded at night, so I could not clearly tell who all the vocalizers were. At 4:37 there is a loud commotion in response to splashing, what I assume was an alligator thrashing about. During daylight hours, one can easily see the following in these mangroves: Eudocimus albus, Egretta thula, Mycteria americana, Platalea ajaja, and other ardeids. Habitat: Freshwater, Pond.
