Observation details
Originally I passed this off as on odd, first winter "blue phase"Snow Goose, but Willie D'Anna suggested hybrid and passed this website along (http://birdhybrids.blogspot.com/2014/02/snow-goose-x-canada-goose_28.html) with the individuals pictured there matching quite closely with this individual, with the exception of its much darker under tail coverts. Rich brown body, longer neck, plus being in company of Canada Geese suggest a Canada Goose parent. Grin patch, and white neck/head, suggest Snow Goose for other parent. Legs and bill appear to be integrated between Canada and Snow Goose, showing blend of darker gray/black Canada Goose color with pinkish color of Snow Goose. What's different about this bird from the website, is that this bird's under tail coverts have much more dark flecking on them compared to the white of other hybrids. Searching eBird, revealed a few other hybrids that show this darker pattern on the under tail coverts: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S25943150 https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S5634255 https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S9743152
