Observation details
Exact count. At 1353, we had walked about 30 m N of the north-most shrubs at WIFL flats to try to see an UNBU which had descended to the NW of us a few minutes before - while up there, we saw 15 partridges flush from the grassland ca 100 m NW of us and fly NW to land beyond the property fence near a shallow draw. I had thought I had heard a "scraip" call earlier in the survey from this area, but had not been positive. Found lots of presumed GRAP tracks in the thin snow among standing Agropyron cristatum and Bromus tectorum, <5 m N of the Chokecherry row that is ca 150 m above the diversion.
