Observation details
3:50 PM - in Minnesota River channel at Black Dog Lake outlet. First year bird with two first year Herring Gulls and 8 Mallards. Was not present (that I noticed) when I first arrived. Present when I checked at about 3:50 and still there when I left at about 4:10. Presumably the same bird that has been reported on MOUnet. Very light plumage overall with no contrast between mantle and flight feathers. Smaller, less-heavy bill compared to Herring Gulls, slightly smaller head.
