In the shade in the thicket
Observation details
I was just about to leave from an hour and fifteen minute search when I spotted the bird in the original location it was found by Lance Verderame on Sunday. The bird remained in that thicket for the next 35 minutes allowing many photos. It then flew to the feeding station at the Armstrong home on the corner of Depot st. It fed on the railing with many American Tree Sparrows for about five minutes. The entire group then flew off to a hedge row at the back of the large corn field beyond the home owners property. It appeared they flew quite far down this long row. Pamela Peters arrived about ten minutes before the bird flew to the house, viewing it in the thicket with me. One final note for anyone chasing the bird, it has not yet been seen in the afternoon. This morning it was present until 11:20 am. Morning seems to be the best time.
