Observation details
both birds watched for at least 10 min and seen in direct comparison to Arctic Terns. They had longer necks and longer bills along with a distinctly faster wingbeat. Both had black bills seen well. One bird appeared to be a second-year with an extensively white forecrown and little gray below. The other had a few flecks of white in an otherwise black crown and was extensively, but not smoothly gray below. Gray on underparts did not extend as far forward as on the Arctic Terns.
