Media notes

NOTES: All calls after playback. Recorded in a tall poplar stand near a road on a windy afternoon. Recorded from the base of a nest that had no chicks in it. Presumably, the nest was post-fledging. No signs of adults or chicks when we arrived at the nest, but upon playback, both adults flew right in calling. Telinga Pro5 in cut. First segment are in-flight 'kack' calls, all subsequent calls are from an unseen, perched adult-- presumed female wail calls. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Deciduous Forest.
