Subspecies flagged as rare — expected subspecies — overall dull yellow (duller than western subspecies) with clean sleek look, gray head with crisp but subtle supercilium, pointy gray bill, grayish greenish wings; yellow most concentrated on undertail — first detected giving harsh chip calls repeatedly, foraging low in the middle of the park just south of 120th Street, before eventually flying up high into trees a bit further north and then disappearing to the northeast
