Observation details
Continuing rarity at this location. I paddled my kayak out into the lake for good views. We found them on a small spit beyond the main grassy point where they like to hang out. We found them there at about 9:00am. We watched them feed and preen in that area for about 15 minutes. Then they suddenly took flight and flew off toward the southwest and appeared to drop in somewhere near the southwestern cove of the lake. We did not relocate them after that. I have photos that I will add to this checklist ASAP.
