Observation details

Continuing bird. Heard first then seen on perch and in flight at north end of oblong pond. Longer, heavier bill than WEKI. Yellow to high on chest. No white on tail in flight. Didn’t have a camera on hand (other than phone), but the bird was perched fairly close to a trail and as we rounded the bend, I held the phone up to get a recording of the vocalization. Not a great recording, but adding as substantiating evidence of the ID. (There is the sound of a dog’s bark just after the second kingbird vocalization in the recording. It was hard to get a snippet without other ambient sounds.)
