Observation details
There were three northern flickers feeding on the ground on the north shore of the north lake (at the point where the west island of north lake comes closest to the shore). Several other species were in this area. Two of the flickers were females, no malar stripe or nape crescent . The third was a male, dark malar stripe, red crescent on nape. Best photographs I got in fading light are below. It seems to be an "almost-yellow-shafted" flicker; however, it seems to show a mix of red and yellow under the tail, and the malar stripe seems to have some red.
