Observation details
*Expected in this zone during August. Minimum count; photos of some. Long-winged storm-petrel, with stronger flight than WISP and less-distinct carpal bar + squarer tail than Leach's, along w/ more direct flight style. White rump extended into sides of tail. Frequently seen in extended glides, often on slightly bowed wings. Occasionally seen in direct comparison to LESP and WISP as birds fed in the slick. At least 2 flew around boat at very close range. Seen by all. Details to NJBRC.
