Observation details
Didn't find it at its previously reported location (Road L, west of Ponquogue Bridge), but tracked it down about a mile to the east, in close proximity to boats docked in a commercial fishing pier ( 40.841661° -72.483538°). Adult female in bright alternate plumage, feeding and preening actively as close as 25-30 ft. of bulkhead.
