NOTES: BNA: Song. LNS Note: Unbroken cut with internal recordist announcement gain change (MJA, 25Jan2005). SONGS AND LOW WARBLES. Other recordist(s): DOUGLASS J.; [This recording begins with three "Contact Calls" (0:00-0:04), followed by what appears to represent a partial song (0:05-0:06), a "Flight Call" (0:085), and then typical song (0:11-0:42). After the "stereotyped" songs, there are three more Contact Calls (0:44-0:46), followed by what appears to be a more elaborate song that appears to include mimicry of Colaptes auratus (0:46-0:52). The first part of the recording ends with more Contact Calls (0:51-1:01), two Flight Calls (1:01-1:04), more Contact Calls (1:04), a soft warble (1:045-1:055), and yet more Contact Calls (1:08-1:145). The second part of the recording (1:18-1:36) has exclusively Contact Calls, and the last part a single, decapitated song (1:39-1:40). Terminology follows BNA. Quality changed from 2-3 to 2 (songs), 3-2 (calls) - CAM - 12 January 2005]. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Coniferous Forest, Montane Grassland.
