NOTES: Breeding status: TERRITORIAL PAIRED; 07:30-10:00 HRS.. LOS PLANES DE MONTECRISTO. CULTIVATED FIELDS, PINE-OAK WOODS, AND PATCHES OF CYPRESS. THE FIRST SECTION GIVES THE USUAL CALLS OF BOTH MALES AND FEMALES; THESE CALLS SEEM TO SERVE AS CONTACT BETWEEN THE PAIR BUT HAVE BEEN HEAR 1 MALE(S); 1 FEMALE(S)D FROM APPARENTLY ISOLATED INDIVIDUALS. THE SECOND SECTION GIVES THE MORE COMPLICATED VOCALIZATION THAT PROBABLY SERVES AS SONG. THE VOCALIZATION BEGINS WITH THE TWO NOTE CALL WHICH IS THEN FOLLOWED BY ONE OR MORE BUZZY NOTES. ONLY MALES WERE HEARD TO UT. Other Behaviors: Mate, Advertise.
