NOTES: I describe in the announcement a female-type hummingbird; clearly not an adult male Sappho sparganura. At the time I could not identify it to species, but after learning their song later in this camp, I am quite sure that is what this is. Unknown if the bird I was watching was a young male, or a female perched nearby an unseen, singing male. Nevertheless, there are quite clearly two individuals singing in this cut. The voice of Freddy Burgos can be heard in the background of my announcement. He suggests either female Oreotrochilus sp. or female Sappho. I am not sure how good of a look he got at this bird, or whether he saw the singing individual(s). Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Deciduous Forest.
