Observation details
First seen feeding in a tree with small red berries (pistache) and then flew 50 yards to the north into the southeast corner of the fenced Rose Garden where there are tall white roses. Assumed initially to be an American Robin, I then noted the rufous continued from the breast onto the back yet didn't extend all the way down the breast and was replaced by white on the belly. Assumed it to be a juvenile but may have looked disheveled from bathing in puddles in rose garden. Took photos both in the tree and in garden:
