Observation details
This lone speciman found in pond E appeared a bit out of place and a bit smaller than expected compared to the other birds in its vicinity, but it clearly had the marbled pattern on the back and, although it was mostly gray in its nonbreeding colors, it still showed hints of the caramel coloring normally associated with the Marbled Godwit. Most of the posted pictures show it at rest with its long bill tucked out of sight. One picture shows its size as appearing comparable to an adjacent Greater Yellowlegs. The last picture shows some coloration and streaking even in the vent area; would not expect that for other Godwit species.
