NOTES: Bird was unseen at the time but 20-25 meters away and relatively high up at the edge of relatively good forest with a 20-25 meter-tall canopy along the arm of the new reservoir about 200-300 meters below the upper end where I took the GPS reading; shortly before I recorded this, the bird gave a long-call at 5:13:56 (its second), after which I pointed the parabola and hoped the bird would sing, which it did only once naturally; the bird then moved off and gave a few long calls along with another bird; after subsequent playback, the bird shifted position and sang three more times and called a few times but I was unable to get any of these songs on tape; I did see the bird well following playback but it was rather quiet (described on tape); the bird was generally 2/3 to 3/4 up the trees, but in response to playback, it descended to about 5 meters; just starting to get light; high thin clouds, calm, 73-74¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Lake, Edge.
