NOTES: This was recorded after the bird flew across the roughly 100+ meter-wide gap at the upper arm of the lake into the trees over my head in response to my whistled imitation of its song; at the time, the unseen bird was probably 25-30 meters away and 22-25 meters up in the canopy at the edge of some of the better forest in the region at the end of the road along the shoreline of the upper arm of the filling reservoir (about 150 meters short of the end); this bird began calling at dusk after I whistled an imitation of its song to see if anything would react (either an owl or landbirds coming to mob one); additional whistling eventually resulted in its crossing the channel, after which I recorded this cut; there may have been two birds initially; there was an almost full moon about 30¡ up in the western sky; clear, calm, the thermometer indicated it was 86¡ F, but it seemed cooler than this. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Lake, Edge.
