NOTES: This male was unseen when I recorded it (well seen later) but apparently about 10-12 meters away and about 8 meters up in the upper mid-levels of trees down the slope in a scrubby ravine, and thus about eye level; this bird was incredibly responsive to playback, flying back-and-forth all around me giving the same song and some calls, at times 10-15 meters up in the upper mid-levels of the trees along a scrubby ravine with bananas in the middle; although it sang constantly following playback, it moved quite a bit, which made it difficult to record; after playback, the last part was recorded with the bird seen moving 6-8 meters away and about 8 meters up; fully overcast, calm, drizzle during latter part of the cut, 82-83¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Second-growth, Scrub.
